ABOUT ME
If you want a calm, friendly guitar teacher dedicated to your specific needs, I'd love to help. I'm based in Todmorden and specialise in folk, blues, punk, metal, pop and classical music.
As well as giving private lessons I currently work at Vibe in Rochdale, a charity that provides young people with a safe space to engage with the creative arts where I teach guitar, music theory, violin and piano.
I have also worked as a self-employed musician since 2010 - touring, composing, recording, session work, function bands. You can listen to my solo guitar records here on Spotify.
LESSONS
I can travel to your house if it's within the Todmorden area (including Walsden, Cornholme, Eastwood etc.) and I also teach from a studio in Lydgate and at my home in central Todmorden.
Beginners will be shown the core techniques every guitarist needs to know and more advanced players may be interested in fingerpicking, open tunings, music theory for guitarists, pedals/sound design, tapping and much more.
If you have a busy schedule and don't have a lot of time to practice I'm also interested in teaching 'just for fun'. A weekly or fortnightly lesson can be a great way to let your hair down and have fun with the instrument even if learning takes place at a slower pace!
